Gulmira Yar-Mukhamedova - Professor, Doctor of Physics & Mathematics Sciences, Corresp. Member of Higher School's NAS, holder of the state scholarship for outstanding contribution to the development of science and technology for Kazakhstan, and the title ‘The best professor of Higher School’. G. Yar-Mukhamedova defended her doctoral dissertation (2001) in the specialised council of the Institute of Nuclear Physics of RSE Institute of nuclear physics RSE ‘National Nuclear Centre of the Republic of Kazakhstan’ and Candidate of sciense thesis (1989) in Donetsk State University (Ukraine). According to the results of new scientific direction on nanocomposite coatings and materials published about 300 works, including textbooks, monographs, articles with high impact factor and 25 patents for invention. Innovative and scientific activity of Yar-Mukhamedova G.Sh. includes actual for the RK directions - optimisation of the technology of obtaining protective coatings with improved functional properties, physical-technological and ecological aspects of extractive and processing industries, electroplating and electroplating, galvanochemical design of new composite systems and nanomaterials of strategic importance. Applied research is related to application of composite coatings and materials of new generation with adjustable physical and chemical properties and operational characteristics on the basis of natural and anthropogenic raw materials, showing synergetic effect for optimisation of industrial processes, power engineering. Scientific and Organisational activity of Yar-Mukhamedova G.Sh. is aimed at the development of original, branches of science that meet the needs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, aimed at import substitution, development of high technologies. import substitution, development of high technologies. She leads scientific projects on development of nanotechnology of synthesis of functional galvanic coatings with specif scientific-technical and educational spheres with the purpose of transfer of the advanced advanced spheres with the purpose of transfer of the advanced foreign experience and technologies, supervises introduction of programmes of two-diploma education of Master's degree and PhD doctorate together with the leading universities of Europe and the USA. In accordance with the agreement co-operates with outstanding scientists of Great Britain, Germany and Poland to improve the quality of education and training of PhD students.
